Synopsis
Even while suffering from amnesia, teenager Saya Otanashi still has the wherewithal to fight the blood-sucking hordes who threaten to overtake Japan. Violence. Immortality. Amnesia. To remember what she is, she must fight the vampire legions ... and survive.

Saya leads a happy life in Okinawa, Japan, but she suffers from amnesia and can't remember anything beyond the past year of her life.
After being kissed and forced to drink blood by the mysterious cellist, Saya's eyes begin to glow and she becomes a fighting machine.
David gives George a deadline to return Saya to the Red Shield, and George takes her to his family grave to show her what happened to her a year ago.
George is taken into the ICU after being severely injured. Angered, Kai takes the gun that George had hidden and goes after Forrest.
When Kai learns that David and his group are preparing to go after George, he wants to join them. But will David allow it?
David, Saya and Hagi infiltrate the Yanbaru laboratory to rescue George -- and discover that the U.S. Army is artificially creating Chiropterans.

While David and Julia decode what they found at Yanbaru, Riku finds out about George's death, and then hides in his room and refuses to come out.
Saya enrolls in a French school in Vietnam that's connected with the wine found at the military base, while Hagi goes undercover as a gardener.
Saya tells the Red Shield about the phantom and how all the missing girls look like her. Meanwhile, Riku meets a girl who shares his ability.

When Saya finds a blue rose, she goes with Hagi to the rose garden where the two of them discover a staircase that leads underground.
When Saya goes to the school ball in a dress she borrowed from Min, she meets a young man named Solomon who asks her for a dance.
As Saya and the group search for the container that carries Diva, they trek up the Mekong River, where they find Mui, Riku and Kai.
As Carl and the Chiropteran children continue their attack, Saya still can't fight. When a hand lands in front of her, she remembers more of her past.
Back in Okinawa, David and Julia go over the new mission while Saya, Kai and Riku take George's baseball glove to the family grave.
While Okamura searches for Saya so he can understand what happened at the wine barrel storage at the school, Mao is getting tired of not seeing Kai.
The group will be riding the Trans-Siberian Railroad to Ekaterinburg for their mission. Things go smoothly until two Chiropterans appear on the train.
Saya attempts to rescue Riku when he falls off a train, but she collapses and, unconscious, dreams of the 1920s when she and Hagi were in Russia.
After Kai learns Saya and Riku are safe, David and Lewis take him to find one of the scientists who worked on Delta 67 during the Vietnam War.
After Saya and her group arrive at the hotel where they're supposed to meet up with the others, Riku comes down with a fever.
David and the others return to Red Shield headquarters, where they're checked for any signs of Chiropteran infections.
As Okamura and Mao search for Kai, Saya and Hagi continue their journey -- and find themselves stopped by a mysterious black-hooded group.
Saya arrives at "the Zoo" -- the ruins of Joel's mansion. There, she reminisces about the time she first met Hagi.
Saya and Hagi return to the Zoo, where they confront Solomon and learn he's a Chevalier -- and that other Chevaliers want to kill Saya.
Saya and Diva face off after Saya sees what Diva has done to Riku. But when Saya begins to attack her little sister, she's tossed through a wall.
Okamura and Mao arrive at the Zoo, only to find Saya's broken sword and the battleground of Hagi and Solomon's fight. Meanwhile, Riku's in a coma.

Riku finally awakens from his coma, but feels different from before. Meanwhile, the Schiff close in on Red Shield headquarters.

Kai learns Riku is now a Chevalier. As Kai wanders around Paris wondering what he can do, he meets Irene on the observation deck of the Eiffel Tower.
As Irene shows signs of dying, the Schiff prepare to execute their attack on Red Shield headquarters. Meanwhile, Julia finds the secret D-factor.
Saya gives Irene some of her blood, but it doesn't stop the crystallization process. Karman attacks Saya, but Hagi and Moses stop him.
As Saya stews, Kai reveals that he knows what she is and suggests she read Joel's diary. While reading the diary, Saya learns of the Zoo's past.
While Saya and the others shop, Julia and Collins meet with Van Argiano -- and Collins reveals the location of Red Shield headquarters to Van.
Diva and Carl invade Red Shield headquarters, and when they split up, Saya leaves Hagi to fight Carl while she looks for Diva.
A year after the Red Shield's fall, Kai and Lewis fight Chiropterans in London. Kai believes Saya is alive, though she hasn't been seen in a year.
Saya has returned, and her yearlong absence wasn't wasted. She easily kills two Chiropterans, but collapses shortly after.
Still wondering why Diva is using Riku's face, Saya and Hagi take shelter in a church. The Schiff are pondering their next move.
Carl wants to kill Saya, but Amshel refuses to let him go after her. Meanwhile, Saya and Hagi confront James, Nathan and Diva at the opera house.
Carl decides to kill Saya and steals some of the Corpse Corps to help him. Meanwhile, Kai invites Saya to Javier's birthday party.
Saya, Hagi, the Schiff and the remaining Red Shield members go to Christina Island, where the Schiff run into a large group of the Corpse Corps.
While Saya, Kai and the kids go fishing, Joel and David attend Amshel's party. Soon the stage is set for a Red Shield vs. Chevaliers showdown.
Everyone has arrived in the United States, and while Kai and the others look for an apartment, Saya rests and receives her transfusions.
Okamura and Mao join David in New York City, but Mao sees herself as a burden to everyone and decides to buy a ticket back to Okinawa.
Amshel and Nathan enter Diva's room and find it a mess. When Amshel asks what Diva would like, she points to a picture of Kai.
Saya wakes with no clothes in an unfamiliar bed. Wrapping herself in a sheet, she looks out the window at New York; then Solomon appears behind her.
Julia and what remains of the Red Shield return to their apartment in New York, where Julia tells the others about the situation with Diva's babies.
As if things weren't problematic enough for Saya and the others, Moses shows up at Kai's apartment and begins attacking him.
Nathan tells Solomon about Diva's babies and takes him to confront her. Meanwhile, David and the others learn a shocking secret about Diva.
While Kai, David, Lewis and Okamura plant a bomb to prevent Diva's singing from being heard worldwide, Saya is attacked by James.
Saya and the others arrive at the Metropolitan Opera ahead of Diva. When Diva arrives, Saya and Hagi immediately move to attack her.
Saya explains why she wants to kill Diva, but, knowing her sister can't understand, she begins fighting. Meanwhile, Hagi and Amshel begin their fight.
With her sister dead, Saya prepares to kill Diva's babies as well, but Kai tries to convince her to spare her nieces and live on with them.
