After a golden coin increases track athlete Hikawa's running ability, she tries to get another. Clair discovers a new aspect of Shuichi's alter-ego.

Clair reenters Shuichi to learn more about his new form. But this also allows him to see the terrible aftermath of her sister Elena's transformation.

Clair and Elena have a chat. Later, Clair takes Shuichi to an abandoned hotel, where a strange being demands a coin in exchange for helping them.

Shuichi and Clair head to the mountains to find coins and allies. They meet a monster with bladed arms who challenges them to a duel to the death.

Clair and Shuichi meet the group's leader Koyanagi, who seems to know Elena. But admission into the group requires a potentially fatal secrecy pact.

Koyanagi reveals what she knows. Meanwhile, Shuichi goes with Chihiro to retrieve her wallet, but the two soon face an overwhelmingly powerful enemy.

Shuichi tells the group what he remembers, but realizes his memory is incomplete. Later, Elena is incensed to hear what Chihiro knows about Shuichi.

Shuichi and his new friends search for the space ship while avoiding the territory of stronger enemies. But they soon run into a giant centipede.

Shuichi and his allies discover just how weak they really are. The other group's leader, Madoka, makes them an offer they can't easily refuse.

After the group splits up, Shuichi and Clair spot someone familiar at their school. Later, Shuichi goes to the alien and demands some answers.

Elena's friend Naoto recalls the unfortunate events of months earlier, when a terrible mix of jealousy, ignorance and anger led to a deadly encounter.

Shuichi asks his comrades to hand over their remaining coins to him. Later, he and Clair head to his house, where she notices some unsettling changes.
