Synopsis
Matt Dillon stars in this touching coming-of-age tale as Tex McCormick, an Oklahoman teen forced to fend for himself after he and his older brother Mason (Jim Metzler) are abandoned by their rodeo cowboy father (Bill McKinney). Based on the novel by best-selling author S.E. Hinton (The Outsiders), director Tim Hunter's faithful adaptation features early career performances from Emilio Estevez and Meg Tilly.
