Zusammenfassung
Zwei verfeindete Räuberbanden teilen sich eine Burg, die in einer ereignisreichen Gewitternacht zerstört wurde. In jener Nacht wurden Ronja, die Tochter von Räuberhäuptling Mattis, und Birk, der Sohn des verfeindeten Räuberhäuptlings Borka, geboren. Ronja wächst behütet bei der wilden Räuberbande auf. Mit ihr unternimmt sie Touren durch den Wald. Mit 10 Jahren wird sie von ihrem Vater allein auf Erkundungstour geschickt. Ronja fühlt sich wohl in ihrem Wald, von dem sie annahm, dass dort keine anderen Kinder leben. Doch sie trifft dort eines Tages Birk. Anfangs pflegen die beiden die Tradition der Feindschaft, nach und nach entwickelt sich jedoch eine Freundschaft zwischen beiden...
