Single father Keita gets a call with a terrifying demand: he must find his ex-wife Yukiko within three days, or his daughter Hitomi will be killed.

Keita begs Yukiko to tell him about an incident from ten years ago, but they are interrupted. He later discovers that Hitomi was out late one night.

Yukiko goes to meet the kidnapper while Keita and Nanako await Hitomi's return. Keita later tells the truth about the fire 10 years ago.

Unnerved after Keita's visit, Naganuma makes a menacing phone call. Meanwhile, Hitomi mentions the fire to Tsubasa, who has an odd reaction.

A desperate Keita tries to get money from Utsunomiya, but someone has beaten him to the punch. Angered, he starts making other plans.

Tsubasa recalls the night of the fire, telling Keita that he saw a man fighting with his mother. Later, Utsunomiya approaches Keita with a proposal.

Tsubasa learns that Utsunomiya was involved in the construction of the villa that burned down 10 years ago. Keita snoops around, but is soon caught.

Utsunomiya tells Keita to contact a journalist with details of Teito Corp.'s wrongdoing. Meanwhile, Tsubasa spots Nanako meeting with Utsunomiya.

When Tsubasa and Keita accuse Utsunomiya of killing Tsubasa's mother, he reveals a surprising secret. Later, the police go to interview Naganuma.

Keita promises Hitomi that he'll bring everything to an end, and finally learns the truth about Yukiko. Meanwhile, Utsunomiya shrewdly plays his hand.
