In the near future, a network of satellites called "Dutch Boy" is created to control the climate and prevent natural disasters. Jake Lawson, the inventor of Dutch Boy, is fired by the government after he refuses to compromise the integrity of the system. His brother Max, who works for the government, replaces him as the head of Dutch Boy. Three years later, Dutch Boy starts to malfunction, causing deadly weather events all over the world. Jake and Max must work together to fix the system before it's too late.

Max heads to the International Climate Space Station (ICSS), where the satellites are controlled, to investigate the malfunctions. He is joined by a team of experts, including his brother Jake, who has been called in to help. Together, they discover that the malfunctions are being caused by a computer virus that has been intentionally introduced into the system. Max and Jake must race against time to find the person responsible and eliminate the virus before it causes a catastrophic "geostorm" that could destroy the planet.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, Max's girlfriend, a Secret Service agent named Sarah, uncovers a plot to use Dutch Boy as a weapon. Max and Sarah must team up to uncover the truth and prevent a disaster of epic proportions.
