The Plot of "Black Adam": A Tale of Ancient Superhumans and Crime Syndicates

"Black Adam" takes place in two time periods: the ancient kingdom of Kahndaq in 2600 BC and the present day. In the past, we see the tyrannical king Ahk-Ton create the Crown of Sabbac in a quest for power. But the slave boy who stood up against him was given the powers of Shazam and became Kahndaq's heroic champion, defeating Ahk-Ton and ending his reign.

In the present day, Kahndaq is ruled by the crime syndicate Intergang, which is oppressing its people. Adrianna Tomaz, an archaeologist and resistance-fighter, is seeking a powerful ancient relic called the Crown of Sabbac to fight Intergang. But when she finds the crown, she accidentally awakens an ancient superhuman named Teth-Adam, who was imprisoned with the crown by the Council of Wizards. Adrianna believes Teth-Adam to be Kahndaq's champion, but he soon reveals himself to be a killer and a threat to the nation.

As Teth-Adam goes on a killing spree, the US government contacts the Justice Society of America to stop him. The story then becomes a race against time as Adrianna, Teth-Adam, and the Justice Society try to stop Intergang from obtaining the Crown of Sabbac, while also uncovering the true history of Kahndaq's champions and their powers.
