Synopsis
Cruelly separated in school, two teenage sweethearts go their separate ways, then meet again as adults carrying a lifetime of emotional baggage. Two teenagers in love, pulled apart by tragedy. After a lifetime of tears, is romance or revenge their destiny?

Jung-woo finds himself drawn to a girl he meets in a park late one night, but is shocked to learn that she is the daughter of a murderer.
Jung-woo attempts to befriend Soo-yeon, who is constantly being bullied. In the midst of this, they save a young boy from a fire.
Detective Kim notices a suspicious car near Jung-woo’s house. Soo-yeon witnesses Jung-woo being kidnapped and rushes to chase after him.
Soo-yeon is missing, and Jung-woo finds himself half-crazed by guilt. Detective Kim searches for her, but is shocked by the suspect’s confession.
Fourteen years later, Jung-woo is a detective, and Soo-yeon is working as a designer in Paris under the assumed name of Zoey Lou.
Jung-woo meets Zoey, and notices that she speaks in a way remarkably similar to Soo-yeon. Nam attempts to blackmail Harry.
Jung-woo believes that Zoey is Soo-yeon. He is devastated to hear that Sang-deuk has been found dead. He is taken off the case.
Much to her bewilderment, Jung-woo is certain that Zoey is Soo-yeon. Harry prepares to exact revenge on Tae-joon.
Jong-woo confirms that Zoey is Soo-yeon, and blames himself for not protecting her 14 years ago. Zoey is tormented by her past.
Myung-hee has her feelings hurt after finally meeting Zoey. Jong-woo finds that the first person Sang-deuk phoned was Tae-joon.
Jong-woo is attacked in the midst of his investigation. Harry attempts to use this opportunity to return to France with Zoey.
Jong-woo finds that Zoey wants to live a life entirely separate from her past, and decides to give up. Harry enacts his plan for revenge.
Harry is enraged to hear that Jong-woo has found Soo-yeon. Tae-joon makes it known that Hyun-joo is still alive and decides to take action.
Soo-yeon attempts to find Detective Kim’s murderer, and Jong-woo makes a shocking discovery. Harry notices some changes in Soo-yeon’s feelings.
Soo-yeon is caught between Jong-woo and Harry and is bewildered. A strange man appears at Jong-woo’s home. Soo-yeon is sent a mysterious USB stick.
After receiving an odd phone call, Jong-woo goes to Soo-yeon and Harry’s house. Soo-yeon is bewildered by Harry’s hatred. Jong-woo follows the case.
Jong-woo finds out that Harry was the boy he and Soo-yeon rescued 14 years ago. Soo-yeon learns that Harry is Sang-deuk’s killer.
Jong-woo escapes with Soo-yeon who has been framed as a serial killer, with Harry attempting to destroy vital evidence.
Soo-yeon finds herself being investigated by police, with Jong-woo protecting her. DNA evidence is found at Detective Kim’s murder investigation.
Jong-woo realizes Harry is the murderer. Harry’s insanity and obsession oppress the two. The truth behind their relationship is revealed.
Jong-woo rescues Soo-yeon from a warehouse where she has been trapped. Flooded with memories from her past, Jong-woo tries desperately to talk to her.
