It is the Warring States period in China. As friends Shin and Hyo practice sword fighting, a minister demands that Hyo accompany him to the palace.

Shin meets Ei Sei, a boy identical to Hyo. Just then, assassin Jo Kan strikes. When Jo Kan laughs that he killed Hyo, Shin tries to avenge his friend.

Shin and Sei try to slip through the army’s siege with the help of Ka Ryo Ten. Shin is incensed when Sei tells him that Hyo was his body double.

As Shin, Sei and Ten head toward the rendezvous point set up by minister Shou Bun Kun, they are confronted by a new assassin, the bloodthirsty Muta.

Sei’s words of encouragement inspire Shin to unleash his full power. At the capital Kanyou, General Ou Ki delivers Shou Bun Kun’s head.

Outraged by the death of Hyo, Shin threatens Shou Bun Kun. However, Shin is moved when vice minister Heki explains that Hyo died as a hero.

En route to meet the Mountain King, Sei and the others hear rumor of the mountain people’s brutal nature. Suddenly, the mountain people surround them!

Shin and the others aim to rescue Sei, but are stunned by the imposing mountain keep. The Mountain King rejects Sei’s offer and calls for his head.

Shin and the others return to camp with the mountain people. They plan the attack on Kanyou. Shin is stunned by how much fewer soldiers they have.

Shin and the others dress as mountain people and slip through the castle gates. This fateful place is where the decisive battle shall be waged!

Shin opens the Crimson Turtle Gate. When the mountain people attack Ketsu Shi, they are met with a shower of arrows! This is the work of Shi Shi.

Shin and Sa Ji engage in a fierce battle. Sa Ji lands a powerful blow to Shin’s head. Just as Shin is about to be killed, Heki joins the battle.

Finally reaching the throne room, Shin faces an unperturbed Prince Sei Kyo. Mountain person Ba Jio battles the giant monster Rankai alone.

Shin and the mountain people continue their desperate struggle in taking on Rankai. Meanwhile, Ou Ki suddenly appears before Sei in the courtyard.

Satisfied by Ei Sei’s reply to his question, Ou Ki retreats. Sei Kyo rushes into the courtyard. Ei Sei decides to end this with his own fists.

Just as peace returns to the palace, a new threat emerges. Chancellor Ryo Fui, who remained a spectator during the Sei Kyo revolt, returns to Kanyou.

Dreaming of becoming a great general, Shin excitedly joins the Qin army in its invasion of Wei. However, they get word that the Qin castle has fallen.

Shin joins the unit of the reckless commander Baku Koshin. As Shin shows his superior swordsmanship against the Wei, the Wei chariot corps strike.

General Duke Hyou of the Qin army launches a cavalry attack. Shin and the others climb a hill to kill Wei general Kyuu Gen.

While Qin has retaken the hill, Shin and the others face 10,000 enemy soldiers. Just as they are about to retreat, Ou Ki’s cavalry appears!

Ou Ki imparts on Shin the true meaning of the general. Leading the charge, Duke Hyou breaks through Wei’s defenses. Which general shall be victorious?

The resourceful tactician Go Kei and brave warrior Duke Hyou engage in one-on-one combat. After the battle, Shin learns what it means to be a general.

Shin is reunited with Kyou Kai. Ten suggests that he invite her over -- when Ten asks the secret of her power, Kyou Kai recalls her past.

Shin demands that his attendant En bring him to Ou Ki to train. Ou Ki agrees to train him, but the training is more extreme than Shin imagined.

As Qin’s main army invades Han, Qin is suddenly attacked by Zhao. Ei Sei issues a conscription order to defend Qin while Ou Ki is given a new mission.

Now a 100-man commander, Shin heads to Bayou behind General Ou Ki. At the palace, Shou Bun Kun is shocked to hear that the Zhao general is Hou Ken.

As the battle between the Qin and Zhao armies begins, Ou Ki gives Shin’s unit a special mission. Can Shin accept this bold and reckless mission?

Shin’s 100-man unit aims to kill the enemy general. Despite a strong start, they are soon surrounded. En makes a hard decision to save the mission.

Despite appearing to struggle against Zhao general Ri Haku the previous day, Mou Bu’s army slices through the enemy lines.

Suspicious of Zhao’s sudden retreat, Ou Ki decides to pursue them. That night at camp, as the Qin soldier’s relax and celebrate, Hou Ken appears.

Both Shin and Kyou Kai are overpowered by Hou Ken’s might. Just then, the Zhao army followed by the Qin army transform the camp into a battlefield.

Shin’s unit carries their leader, knocked unconscious by Hou Ken, into the mountains. The unit bears losses as it defends against endless Zhao attacks.

The remains of Shin’s unit march through the forest with Ou Ki’s army. Mou Bu and Ryuu Koku’s armies attack the Zhao base without waiting for Ou Ki.

As Mou Bu’s army faces annihilation, Ou Ki’s army arrives. The final battle begins. At the palace, Yo Tan Wa gives crucial information about the Zhao.

Reading the enemy strategy, Ou Ki aims for the Zhao army led by Chou So. Hou Ken appears before Ou Ki, prepared to end what began nine years earlier.

When Ei Sei wonders about the history between Ou Ki and Hou Ken, Shou Bun Kun tells the unfortunate tale of Kyou, one of the six great generals of Qin.

Ri Boku appears with a massive army, instantly shifting the battle. Overwhelmingly outnumbered, Qin soldiers grow hopeless while Ou Ki smiles.

Inspired by Ou Ki, who remains unyielding even in the face of death, Shin and the Qin soldiers escape. The long battle finally ends.

Shin rises from his lowly station to become the commander of a 300-man unit for Qin. Meanwhile, King Ei Sei engages in a power struggle with Ryo Fui.

Shin gets called to the palace when Ri Boku suddenly pays Ryo Fui an unexpected visit. As the meeting progresses, Ryo Fui makes a shocking statement.

A lavish banquet is held in celebration of the Qin-Zhao alliance; Shin’s blood boils at the sight of Ri Boku, the man responsible for Ou Ki’s death.

A young Ei Sei gets left behind in Zhao territory after the Battle of Changping. Years later, a merchant is tasked with smuggling the boy into Qin.

Ei Sei and the merchant must pass through five checkpoints in order to reach Qin. At the second checkpoint, an arrow flies into Sei’s hiding spot.

The merchant helps Ei Sei overcome his inner demons, but the Zhao are not far behind. One by one, their companions fall to the enemy attack.

Shin’s unit joins General Mou Gou’s army for the Qin invasion of Wei. Meanwhile, powerful men of the inner palace seek an audience with Sei.

Kou gets stabbed by a eunuch after witnessing a secret meeting between Sei’s mother and Ryo Fui. Meanwhile, Shin, Ou Hon and Mou Ten invade Wei.

Ei Sei takes action against his enemies after Kou tells him about his mother’s affair with Ryo Fui. Meanwhile, Qin struggles to overtake a fortress.

The Qin army captures Kourou Castle, but when Shin sees Qin soldiers assaulting Wei townspeople, he takes up the sword against his own companions.

The King of Wei orders the fearsome General Ren Pa to destroy the Qin army. As Ren Pa returns to the battlefield, Rin Ko begins to operate in secret.

Qin has captured three Wei fortresses, but Rin Ko manages to assassinate several Qin commanders. When he see Rin Ko, Shin does not hesitate to attack.

While Qin soldiers worry about the appearance of Ren Pa, General Mou Gou remains calm. That night, Mou Gou disguises himself as an old foot soldier.

While Ou Hon and Mou Ten are quickly promoted to the rank of thousand-man commander, Shin is only given a temporarily promotion.

Ren Pa and his four commanders prepare for battle as Mou Gou meets with Ou Sen and Kan Ki before his confrontation with his longtime enemy.

Inspired by the sight of the legendary Ren Pa, Wei soldiers force Ou Sen’s army to retreat. Meanwhile, Shin is forced to withdraw from his battle.

Shin gets upset when his unit is assigned to play a supporting role, but he learns that he is now more likely to come in conflict with Rin Ko.

When Ren Pa closes in on Mou Gou’s army from behind, Mou Gou calmly counterattacks with a formation he developed over his many years of experience.

Shin demonstrates his incredible mental fortitude during his fight with Rin Ko. Meanwhile, Ren Pa draws ever closer to Mou Gou’s position.

Rin Ko gets up after being cut down by Shin and says that he must win for Ren Pa. Meanwhile, a massive cavalry unit charges toward Kyou Kai.

Shin rushes to Mou Gou’s side after the end of the fierce battle; Ren Pa charges past the last obstacles that stand between him and his old foe.

Shin angrily interjects when Ren Pa insults Ou Ki during his encounter with Mou Gou; Kan Ki’s army launches a surprise attack against the enemy.

Ka Ryo Ten joins Shin’s unit as their strategist. But while Shin respects her determination, he refuses to accept her military advice.

Ri Boku attacks Yan when Qin declares its intention to expand its territory. Ryo Fui gains more political power as he is promoted to a higher status.

Ei Sei informs Sei Kyo that he will accept his long standing proposal. Meanwhile, Shin’s unit heads to Xu to rescue them from the Han army.

Ei Sei is able to halt Ryo Fui’s rise to power with help from Sei Kyo. Meanwhile, Shin enters a one-on-one duel with Ri Boku.
