Theo must adjust to his new role as a Lord quickly: neighboring Lord Lassic plans an attack. Siluca summons her old friend Sir Balgyary for help.

Siluca sends Moreno to negotiate for independence with the King of Sievis. Then, she and Theo fight a Chaos Hazard that suddenly appears.

Aubest advises Marrine to deny Siluca's request, and Count Villar refuses to see her. The Knights of Waldlind lay siege to Theo and his allies.

When Siluca and Theo arrive, Villar orders them to visit the Forest of Eternal Darkness, where the vampires and werewolves are at each others' throats.

The Mage Academy recognizes Theo as Sistina's ruler and authorizes Jana's execution. Milza attempts to purge any hint of rebellion in his people.

Forced to retreat from the Forest, Milza agrees to Telius' strategy to draw Theo out. But the Treaty Lords and mages have a counterstrategy.

Against advice from Telius, Milza refuses to wait for reinforcements and sallies forth from Castle Unicorn to take the fight to Theo and his forces.

Theo becomes leader of the Altirk Treaty and declares its independence from the Union. Marrine deals with LeCouleurs; Siluca has news for Priscilla.

Alexis personally takes to the battlefield and defeats Lord Dawson, then takes on Erik the Sea King in naval battle.

Marrine's Alliance faces Theo's Treaty and Alexis' Union in battle, resulting in a stalemate. At the parley, Theo makes two proposals.

The Mage Academy begins carrying out a purge of mages loyal to the Lords. The new Imperial Army plans to march on Eramu to confront them.

The Order of the Crest declares war on Theo and the Imperial Army. Priscilla and Siluca approach the Pope to try to broker a peaceful solution.

As the Imperial forces approach Eramu, the Mage Academy sends out a Cyclops to delay them, laying siege to the city. Lassic and Moreno face it head-on.

Transported to the Forest, Theo, Siluca and their companions face the Vampire King. In Eramu, Pandora warns them not to end the Age of Chaos.
