An Adapter attacks the passengers of a streetcar, but Aoto keeps him at bay. Akane and Midori are ordered to recruit him, but hear a rumor about him.

Akane’s father meant the world to him. So why should Aoto want to kill his own parents? The two approach each other as a patrol driver fails.

Midori pursues the Divine Gate. Arthur declares the quest for the Divine Gate; Midori has mixed feelings. Looking for an answer, she is also afraid.

Fearing for Aoto, Akane and Midori search for him but the server data is secret. They take Undine’s card and learn that Aoto is suspected of carnage.

Akane and the team do special training. They meet a group called “The Defiers,” human-animal hybrids with superpowers, and are attacked by them.

Arthur wants to find the Divine Gate. He asks the Knights of the Round and selected Academy members to accompany him. But Loki and Oz set off as well.

Arthur, the knights and the Adapter seek the Divine Gate. Arthur wants to destroy it to restore the old world. Loki and Oz want to prevent this.

Akane and the team escaped the collapsing Divine Gate, but Arthur has disappeared. To find them all, the World Council has decreed martial law.

Akane, Midori and Aoto are magically transported into a play made up by Loki and Shakespeare. They play their roles and meet somebody whom they seek.

Escaping Shakespeare’s divine play, Akane, Midori and Aoto are in the Zone. Aoto has the key to the Gate and Loki knows it – tragedy is in the making.

The key to the Divine Gate is despair, and tragedy is the reason why Akane and Midori can access the Gate. Aoto faces his twin brother, Ariton.

Akane, Midori and Aoto are at the Gate. The key lets them decide their own fate. But they find that the Divine Gate does more than fulfill wishes.
